Forward Education is an academic service provided to high school orphans within the Masoyi Home-Based Care youth program. The goal is empowering youth leaders to achieve high-level capacity and make a maximum impact in their community.
Our flagship activity is a six-month bridging program designed to strengthen students from rural African schools making the step on to successful university study.
Comprised of a small group of leaders with high academic potential selected from the Masoyi orphan program, the class spends three days a week engaged in classroom activities, roughly ten hours per week in community volunteer service, and ten or more days on experiential field trips.
Priority outcomes are:
creative thinking skills
independent work habits
strong written communication skills
improved high school grades
exposed and broad minds
strong characters
